September 2012

The wide range of original equipment assemblies available as well as the presence of two different types of technology means that Common Rail injectors now need to be handled as a separate family from other so-called "technical" parts. To ensure that its professional customers in the field of repairs have access to the best possible service, the Autodistribution Group - the French and European leader in the independent distribution of spare parts for cars and heavy goods vehicles - has published a guide dedicated exclusively to Common Rail injectors for LVs and LCVs.

A detailed and operational guide

Containing more than 500 parts, this new "Multibrand Common Rail Injectors" technical guide is the essential companion for repair professionals. "The guide is divided into 2 parts: a technical manual and a catalogue," explains Emmanuel Romieu, Head of the Autodistribution Technical Parts Unit.

"This Common Rail guide presents repair professionals with both technologies (electromagnetic injectors and piezoelectric injectors) used as original equipment across the four different assemblies: Bosch, Delphi, VDO and Denso," continues Emmanuel Romieu.

Thanks to the Autodistribution Group know-how in terms of replacements and repairs, this new document also provides repair professionals with economic solutions for motorists at much more attractive prices than those available from the manufacturers' networks.

The renovation of piezoelectric technologies is now a common practice and can be seen in different applications on the VDO and Denso assemblies.

Precise and concise, the guide examines each type of assembly while explaining the particularities of each equipment manufacturer. It also offers the possibility of using a smartphone to view 3D videos of the architecture of both the Bosch and Delphi Common Rail systems.

The "Multibrand Common Rail injectors" technical guide also includes a catalogue section per assembly, per application and per manufacturer presenting all the new, standard exchange and repair exchange ranges. "By launching this new guide, the Autodistribution Group has confirmed its desire to promote its know-how in the field of Common Rail technology while supporting its customers in this market. Today, there are almost 10 million vehicles over 5 years old on the road which use this type of system. It is therefore essential that we offer a product range and a service solution which satisfies the needs of repair professionals," concludes Emmanuel Romieu.

A network of more than 100 testing points dedicated to Common Rail

As proof of its know-how, the Autodistribution Group boasts more than 100 "Common Rail points". These sites, equipped with specific test benches, are approved to carry out Common Rail injector test operations and thus obtain an initial diagnostic. The list of distributors offering this operation is included in the new "Multibrand Common Rail injectors" technical guide, which is even more didactic and operational than ever.

Through this new guide, the Autodistribution Group helps to promote the competitiveness of the network of independent repair professionals by providing them with a quality range of parts and services adapted to a high-potential Common Rail injector market.
