On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the AD mechanical services network, the Autodistribution group - the French and European leader in the independent distribution of car and heavy goods vehicle parts - organised numerous actions: conferences, communication, sales challenges, open days, promotional events and competitions, websites and mobile applications... A look back at this anniversary which injected the network with a new dynamism.
A unique conference
For the 25th anniversary of the AD mechanical services network, a conference was organised on 14 May at Disneyland Paris. It was a chance for the teams in the Autodistribution group to present the "Excellence 2013" plan to more than 1,500 participants, a vast programme aimed at consolidating AD's position as leader on the independent repair market in France.
Operations intended for the general public
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the AD mechanical services network, the Group also organised various operations intended for the general public throughout the months of June and July 2011 in all AD and AD Expert garages: promotions (25% discounts on brakes, shock absorbers, tyres, filters and exhausts) in partnership with the group's major equipment manufacturers and suppliers, open days and a nationwide competition which gave 10,500 motorists the chance to win gifts totalling €25,000.
AD repair shop challenges
From 1 May to 30 September 2011, the Autodistribution Group organised a challenge for its AD repair shops to make sure that the AD network celebrated its 25th anniversary in style, with cheques and gift packages to be won.
Various communication actions
On the occasion of this anniversary, a website open to the general public - 25ans-ad.com - was launched. At the same time, a new website - ad-auto.fr - was developed in October 2011, bringing together all the AD bodyshop and mechanical services divisions and redirecting motorists to the repair shops' individual websites. Finally, a free application for iPhone, iPad and Android was created. Thanks to this "AD" application, the AD bodyshop and mechanical services networks have become the first and only operators on the French independent repair market to offer motorists this type of service.
