September 2009
MACIF Rhône-Alpes and the Autodistribution Group have recently signed a new agreement under which AD distributors will offer concessional terms to MACIF Rhône-Alpes approved repairers on the new paint spray booth optimisation programme (POPP) developed by the Teams responsible for Bodywork activity within AD. This innovative programme, part of the continuing implementation of the Autodistribution Group's Bodywork activity, is the first integrated tool to be marketed, and enables simple, optimal management of the paint spray booth.
The paint spray booth optimisation programme is a three-pronged initiative:
- diagnostics: carried out on-site, diagnostics enable all possible sources of productivity to be identified, according to the specific conditions of each repairer.
- a performance measuring tool: Paintperformer.
- a personalised progress plan: the AD team then offers the repairer a personalised action plan including periodic monitoring of its progress
Paintperformer is the first paint spray booth performance measuring tool integrated into the workshop management strategy which allows key indicators to be monitored in real time. Paintperformer is interfaced with most management and costing tools, and enables performance to be assessed simply and quickly by dossier, period and employee.
Paintperformer also enables fully automated management of the paint stock as well as "non-paint" products (consumables) thanks to an interface with Autossimo, the Autodistribution Group's e-commerce solution.
In line with their undertaking to provide guidance and advice to body repairers, the AD teams responsible for the Autodistribution Group's Bodywork activity have developed the paint spray booth optimisation programme in order to add real economic value to the service and to provide support to repairers in the daily management of their company.
This programme has therefore been launched in the Rhône-Alpes region, in departments 01, 05, 07, 26, 38, 42, 43, 69, 73, and 74. Autodistribution has recently appointed a Development Manager for the Paint Programmes, whose mission is to implement the POPP initiative for repairers in the Rhône-Alpes region. As part of the launch, next October the AD distributors from the region will invite the 650 MACIF Rhône-Alpes approved repairers to come and discover this innovative programme on-site. The MACIF Rhône-Alpes/AD partnership will enable all MACIF Rhône-Alpes approved repairers to benefit from very attractive concessional terms on the entire package, including the purchase of paint products and consumables via the Autossimo portal.
"This agreement with MACIF Rhône-Alpes is a genuine acknowledgement of how pertinent our strategy is" explained André Courtois, National Bodywork Activity Manager. "We are looking forward to the introductory sessions in October so that we can hear the opinions and comments of MACIF Rhône-Alpes approved repairers".
The new agreement between MACIF Rhône-Alpes and the Autodistribution Group has strengthened the existing partnership between the 2 groups: since 2007, the insurance company has had dealings with CORA, the French market leader in the distribution of original quality bodywork parts, and a subsidiary of AD. A win-win partnership between MACIF Rhône-Alpes approved repairers and AD.
"For MACIF Rhône Alpes, this new agreement strengthens the desire to develop a special relationship, beyond a simple agreement, with its partner garages.
It reinforces our links with the parent company of our main signatory, CORA.
We are not simply giving our approved garages a discount on purchases; we are also offering genuine skills and expertise, which will enable spray booth costs to be managed more effectively. The approved garage retains considerable freedom of choice, with no fewer than 7 paint brands on offer. "
