Morangis, May 2008

True to its desire to assist its members in optimising and improving their performance, the Autodistribution Group, French and European leader in the independent distribution of car and HGV parts, is launching the Performance 2010 programme: a programme of personalised training adapted to the needs of the market designed to consolidate the commercial dynamism of the body repairers of the AD network. 2010, cap sur la performance 455 carrossiers multimarques, véritables spécialistes de la carrosserie automobile et des véhicules utilitaires, constituent le réseau des carrosseries AD. With the best equipment on the market and solid experience at their disposal, they are able to offer an extensive range of services to their customers, from quick repairs consisting of the straightening of parts rather than systematic replacement, to the rebuilding of welded components to full structural repairs. In order to supplement this excellent level of technical expertise, AD Carrosserie today invites its affiliates to further improve the productivity of their business thanks to a comprehensive training programme that is part of the 2010 Performance Plan's strategy. Body repairers can sign up to the first three modules on offer, according to their particular interests, remote expertise, leading the business and plastic repairs. To begin in 2010, this training programme will be supplemented with about ten different subjects. Spotlight on the IT environment and remote expertise Expertise is at the forefront of this training programme, and is approached via two components essential to the performance of the business, namely perfect command of the costing tool and developing a positive relationship with experts. Among the themes developed in the first part are: familiarising oneself with the IT environment, gaining time by precisely identifying the vehicle (VIN for vehicle identification number) and being able to establish a precise and accurate file are the proposed work methods. In a further stage, perfect use of distance expertise and systematic costing tools. Being able to explain and support pricing, mastering and optimising messaging tools, all this information is indispensable to the fluidity of a process essential to customer satisfaction. Optimising the activities of the business Starting from the assertion that not all of the businesses have a management chart, the Autodistribution Group also wanted to set aside two days for training in the management of the business. How can the business be managed simply and effectively? How can the key concepts of a vehicle body be identified or how can its profitability be measured and optimised in terms of labour and parts? The oversight of operations in all its forms is dealt with during this session, where the forming of a management chart is the final instalment. Plastic repairs, a winning solution for all Since it is a solution for all partners, who are always seeking ways to reduce the average cost of repairs and since it is also in line with the strategy developed by the Group to protect the environment, plastic repairs is one of the predominant activities of AD body repairers. Within the scope of its 2010 Performance Plan, AD Carrosserie has therefore chosen to set aside two days for this theme: gaining knowledge of composite materials used in the automotive industry, applying the repair and painting methods or even commercialising this methodology. These are the issues dealt with by this training that is both technical and commercial. With the 2010 Performance Plan, the AD Group strengthens its support of the members of the AD bodywork network, by assisting them permanently in their sales strategy.
