Focusing on advantages for clients
Over the years Autodistribution has become the partner of choice for repair professionals and car and truck fleet managers. It is the leading supplier for its two core markets: light vehicles and trucks.
Paying close attention to developments in the market, Autodistribution delivers solutions tailored to its clients needs, including greater product availability, a wider range, a portfolio of value-added technical services, and technology-driven diagnostic tools.
Constantly striving to improve customer services, Autodistribution has implemented two changes:
•	from a static vision of a product-focused wholesaler to a distributor dynamic that defines its range, makes service commitments, keeps its promises and is dedicated to building its clientele;
•	a shift in focus from products to development of human skills and performance.
Autodistribution’s strategy of profitable growth has made it a sound and attractive enterprise. Through its policy of expansion both at home and internationally, it offers clients access to consistent quality services across Europe, whilst optimising costs.
Autodistribution’s people are more than ever driven by the pursuit of progress. Through them the company has become an innovator setting the pace for the market.
In the future, Autodistribution will lead the way, not only in size but also through its drive for progress, both within the profession and for its clients.

- 90 AD autoservice points
- 1,058 AD Garages
- 426 AD Bodyshops
- 1,129 Autoprimo

AD Autoservices points
90 AD Autoservices points carry out highly technical repairs. The concept is based on comprehensive criteria such as competitive pricing, optimised delivery times, quality of service, personalised welcome, nationwide parts and labour guarantees, and a commitment charter.

AD autoservices points provide four key services:
- rapid mechanical work
- mainstream mechanical work
- self-service shop
- new and used vehicle sales

Manned by qualified professionals who carry out standard repairs as well as more technical operations requiring in-depth experience, AD auto service points can also carry out bodywork repairs , offer vehicle hire and conduction vehicle inspections.
Offering a range of services (AD guarantee booklet, AD Club card, AD Aurore card), AD auto service points give drivers an unbeatable feeling of safety and confidence, based on a combination of technical know-how and versatility.

AD Garages
Both general and specialised, the 1,058 AD garages provide standard maintenance as well as more technical operations on any type or make of vehicle. They add value to their profession by applying both technology and high-level human skills, together with an excellent service for drivers.

AD Garages are committed to:
- first-class welcome
- repairs on all makes of car
- honest prices
- speedy service
- respecting agreed deadlines
- professional expertise
- high performance technical equipment
- guaranteed services and products
- personalised advice and services (loyalty card, credit card, 2 year international guarantee on parts and new and used cars and engines)
- protecting the environment

As the leading garage chain in Europe, AD garages spell quality, efficiency and excellent value for money.

AD Body shops
The AD body shop Network comprises 426 multi-brand body shops which are true specialists in car and commercial vehicle bodywork. From express panel beating, prioritising part-straightening over systematic replacement, to restructuring of welded pieces and checking for structural damage, AD body shops are fitted with the best equipment on the market and have field-experienced mechanics to use it.

To support new developments in the profession, panel beaters, paint shop experts and mechanics receive special training on new technology, especially for repairing plastics, and recycling.

Autoprimo garages
The AUTOPRIMO Network was established in 2004 to meet the needs of mechanics who did not need all the Group services but who wished to benefit from the communication tools and capacity to evolve with vehicle technology. The AUTOPRIMO Network currently has nearly 1,130 members.

AUTOPRIMO has regular (e.g. shock absorbers, brakes, tyres, oil change etc.) or seasonal promotions, draws on technical ability supported by the Millennium Training Programme, and offers a one-year parts and labour guarantee.

Membership of the AUTOPRIMO Network provides 40 hours of free training over 2 years (MILLENNIUM Programme), as well as technical information available on CD-ROM or via the Autossimo.com portal. In exchange for these services, new members must commit to a minimum value of spare part sales.

This is a reliable, accurate and dynamic website that saves the network lots of precious time. www.autossimo.com: easy to use cutting-edge technology.

2,900 professionals use it to:
- post new and used vehicles for sale
- find out about new techniques
- source parts
- create rapid quotes

Consumer services give drivers the opportunity to:
- buy new or used vehicles
- learn how their vehicle works or about new models coming on the market
- access weather forecasts or traffic news

The Millennium Training Programme
Autodistribution Group has launched its Millennium Programme (6,800 contracts signed) for all car mechanics. Tested over several months by a representative sample of garage owners and body shops, this Training Programme advances in steps and is built around:

> training: each member is offered five half-day sessions on handling new technologies. These sessions are held on distributors’ premises and at the end of each one, the training content is distributed on CD-ROM and in manuals.

> technical information: technical documentation and all information needed for repairing electronic failures can be consulted immediately on the CD-ROM and are updated every term.

> technical support: via the Millennium Hotline, by fax, telephone or e-mail, users can contact a whole team of technicians to guide the repair mechanic in his diagnostics, until the problem has been solved.

The introductions and training courses comprise the following modules and are designed for immediate use in workshops:
- petrol injection
- diesel injection
- working on BOSCH ABS/ASR
- diagnostics with € DIAG III
- gas analysis
- multiplexing
- air-conditioning
- reading diagrams and electricals
- autossimo.com

The Autodistribution group has chosen to rely on the skill and expertise of Daniel Bodin, a prominent figure in the French truck market, for its AD truck network (120 AD truck centres and 50 garages).

In 1985, this 54-year-old autodidact, a married father of three, founded “Le Comptoir du Frein”, a company acquired by the Autodistribution group in January. He was also a founding member of the G-Trucks group (1988) and TVI (1997).

His 18 years at DAF France alongside Jean Stivil have given him an in-depth knowledge of the truck market and transport companies’ expectations.

This grass-roots experience gives Daniel Bodin a perfect grasp of all Customer Relations requirements: technical know-how, service and responsiveness.

Daniel Bodin reports to Jean-Louis Rigollet, Director of Autodistribution’s networks and markets.

He is succeeded as Managing Director of Comptoir du Frein by his son, Arnaud Bodin.

In accordance with its strategy for development, the Autodistribution Group, the leading French and European distributor of car and truck spare parts, announces the acquisition of AD POLSKA Sp. Zo.o, the leading car parts distributor in Poland with sales of €115 million and 775 employees.

Further to the acquisitions in France, the Autodistribution Group chose to focus on Poland – the leading automobile market in Central and Eastern Europe with more than twelve million light vehicles. Market dynamics, the quality of cars (80 percent of which are of Western European origin), and the perspective of sustained growth make the Polish market an ideal growth opportunity for the Autodistribution Group. The Group therefore purchased the local leader in independent car part distribution, AD Polska Sp. Zo.o.

AD Polska, Polish market leader

Based in Debica, AD Polska Sp. Zo.o was created when three distributors joined forces in the year 2000. It is comprised of four fully-owned companies – three dedicated to distribution (Dakol, Stenmot and Stachura) and one dedicated to manufacturing (Union Parts). AD Polska’s organization resembles that of the Autodistribution Group in that it also possesses a solid national network of independent members and 70 AD agencies which adopt the brand’s main methods, especially through a network of 130 AD garages.

AD Polska is equipped with modern facilities in its national center based in Nowy Karolinow (near Warsaw) and its three regional centers in Debica, Krakow and Wroclaw. Lucjan Kolbusz, President, and Darius Kolbusz, Executive Vice President, will continue to manage the Polish subsidiary.

AD Polska is a member of the AD International network since October 2000.

“As announced last October, the Group’s development strategy goes beyond our organic growth to acquisitions within and outside of our national borders; the acquisition of AD Polska Sp. Zo.o is a result of these efforts. It demonstrates our desire to offer customers car spare parts and services of a consistent quality on the European market,” explains Alain Redheuil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Autodistribution Group.

“In joining the Autodistribution Group, we are pleased to partner with a solid company with whom we share the same values and the same vision of the distribution industry,” said Mr Lucjan Kolbusz, President of AD Polska. “The AD Polska teams look forward to working with their French colleagues. Together, we will reach new heights for development in this region of Europe.”

AUTODISTRIBUTION, the leading independent distributor of car and truck spare parts, and LECIÑENA, the Spanish manufacturer of trailers and semi-trailers, have just signed an agreement for a dedicated repair and maintenance service to be set up in France for the Iberian manufacturer’s vehicles.

AUTODISTRIBUTION, already firmly established in the spare parts distribution and industrial vehicle repair sector with the AD Truck network (135 workshops and 133 retail outlets), has been selected by LECIÑENA for the repair, maintenance and sale of spare parts for its trailers and semi-trailers. Thus, the AD Truck network will be the Spanish manufacturer’s representative for all LECIÑENA vehicles on French roads still under the manufacturer’s one-year guarantee.

To enable the various operations to be carried out properly, LECIÑENA is providing the AD Truck network with all the instructions and manufacturer information necessary for the repair and maintenance of its vehicles. AUTODISTRIBUTION will also ensure availability of spare parts from stock at its national centre in Sarcelles. The AD Truck network promises to replace original LECIÑENA parts with original LECIÑENA parts. Other components will only be replaced by OEM parts.

“We were looking for a partner to support our growth in France”, explains José Maria Leciñena Millan, Director. Due to its extensive network, the skill of its workforce and the logistical know-how of the AUTODISTRIBUTION Group, the AD Truck network sprang to mind. It is with confidence that I therefore put our company’s vehicles in the hands of the people at AD.”

“We had announced our wish to grow AUTODISTRIBUTION’s truck business”, comments Christophe Laurent-Atthalin, Managing Director of the AUTODISTRIBUTION Group. “Following the acquisition in France of key market players at the beginning of the year, we are proud and happy that LECIÑENA has chosen the AD Truck network to back up the guarantee and carry out maintenance of its vehicles. The signing of this agreement is testament to the soundness of our strategy and the quality of our network. Further agreements will follow.”

Protecting the environment and waste management have, for many years, been a real priority for Autodistribution. The Autodistribution Group is now extending initiatives across its network of car mechanics (1,150 garage mechanics and 430 body shops), to raise awareness and involve them more deeply in our quality-driven environmental initiatives.

This objective will be maintained in 2007,with Autodistribution continuing its initiatives with the active support of partners such as ADEME, AutoEco, Chimirec, and Mil-Tek to meet the Environmental Challenge:

- Thanks to the joint efforts of the Environmental Challenge and the Autodistribution Group, the French Water Company has renewed its financial support for waste management for 2007 and until 2009.

- The Environmental Challenge initiative has also been renewed. It was launched in 2006 with contributions from Autodistribution’s long-term partners to support the environmental agenda of AD body shops. It rewards workshop performance in terms of growth (the highest increase in waste collection), team involvement (the highest number of collection systems set up), and our improved public image (the most intensive involvement in environmental management).

There will also be two new projects:

- The implementation of the AD Environmental Charter to enable each body shopsto formalise its policy, both internally and with respect to drivers. Pictograms will be posted in workshops to quickly identify waste and the correct sorting operation. Posters on the front of premises and in reception areas will inform clients that the body shophas chosen to protect the environment by committing to waste sorting, storage, collection and traceability.

- New codification of the AutoEco base for waste traceability is available on the web for garage mechanics. It is worth remembering that Autodistribution, by joining AUTOECO in 2002, was the first independent car body repairs network to implement such a system, three years prior to the law on traceability. Body shops and garage mechanics have a tool to help them display global collection figures, per product and per collector, and compare these figures with either the whole network or members on the site. This can all be done at a glance and with no extra background work thanks to collectors who submit data to AUTOECO.

- Trade Association environment project managers will meet with members of the AD repair mechanics network. Together they will review the sensitiveissues in their business and, where appropriate, put forward modernisation plans. These audits are vital for professionals to set themselves up with respect to the legislation, and are carried out through partnerships with the Environmental Challenge and the support of ADEME (the French Agency for the Environment and Energy Management) and Water Companies. Using these special diagnostics, Autodistribution will take stock of all its needs and decide on an appropriate action plan.

Other projects are being researched. 2007 will mark a new phase in mobilising the Autodistribution Group to support its members’ environmental policies and boost the image of its network.

Autodistribution, the leading French distributor of car and truck parts, has signed an agreement for the takeover of AM Development, a holding company whose companies include Comptoir du Frein, a specialist in repair and parts distribution for industrial vehicles.
AM Development, a holding company with 109 employees and 2006 turnover of €13 million, currently owns four companies over five sites in the Poitou-Charentes region.

Among the companies owned by AM Development, Comptoir du Frein has a good reputation in the profession and has been recognised for 20 years as a leading specialist in truck repairs and parts distribution in France.

Autodistribution’s acquisition of AM Development is part of the group’s new strategy of refocusing its business on its two historic markets: Cars and Trucks.

AM Development will enhance Autodistribution’s regional position and increase their skill and know-how in the field of trucks.

“Autodistribution is the ideal partner to help us grow our business,” said Daniel BODIN, Chairman of AM Development. “I was very impressed by Autodistribution’s vision of taking client needs to offer services and products that match demand on the ground. My people and I will enthusiastically support this strategy.”

“We are pleased to welcome onboard AM Development companies . The people at Comptoir du Frein, H.I.S., BOURY Industrial Vehicles. and C.T. Industrial Vehicles who are joining us have a reputation for ability and know-how,” said Alain REDHEUIL, Chairman of the Board at Autodistribution. “This splendid acquisition is a further step in the development of the Group’s Truck business.”

As part of its regional policy, Autodistribution Group (leading independent distributor of car and truck parts and services) is revamping its Drome subsidiary to better satisfy its clients.

Reorganisation of the Drome structure involves overhauling its premises to reflect the ambition of the AD Drome management to deliver optimum services to their business and private clients.
AD Drome is therefore enhancing its leading position and asserting itself as a key player in the car and truck business in the Rhône-Alpes region.

The new management team of Gaétan Bancheri, brand Managing Director, Gilles Couty, Sales Director and Philippe Gardellin, Manager of the AD Garage and Bodywork Networks and of the AutoPrimo network, is in charge of the subsidiary’s four sites, which have undergone extensive renovation. The total cost for this renovation is around €800,000:

- AD Drôme Romans Sites
Formerly known as the Comptoir Industrial Dauphiné, this light vehicle outlet has been renamed AD Drôme Romans, specialising in the car spare parts business, is located in a brand new building with 2,000 sq. m. of storage space, a 50 sq. m reception hall and a showroom. A four-person team provides daily deliveries within a 10km radius, and four times a day in the town centre. Three employees will be manning the new call centre.
The AD Drôme Ochier truck workshop in Romans has been redesigned with a neighboring reception area. New shop personnel will be appointed very soon.

- AD Drôme Marcol de Valence site
Located in the centre of Valence, the car spare parts and electronics shops, the neighbouring car repairs workshop, and the entrance hall have all been completely renovated.

- AD Drôme Bili de Portes-les-Valence site
A new shop with storage space of 1,000 sq. m. on two levels has been added to the site specialising in light vehicle and truck spare parts, and to the truck repair workshop. A call centre is already in operation and daily deliveries have been organised.

- AD Drôme Bili de Montélimar site
It has extended its storage space from 300 to 1,200 sq. m. by building new premises in the Meyrol Industrial Estate, avenue Pierre Brossolette. The work is due to be completed by the end of December. The site also has a reception area. Three people are dedicated to deliveries.

AD Drôme in figures:
- Employees: 82
- Shops: 4
- Workshops: 4 including 2 trucks, 1 light vehicles and 1 engine
- AD Region Rhône-Alpes: around €150 million (subsidiaries + independents)

In 1995, still within the Autodistribution Group, Médéric Renouf joined an AD subsidiary in the Paris Region as a salesman and later as Shop Manager.

To broaden his knowledge of car repairs, he joined Carglass as site manager in 1997 and then worked in the city of Paris.

Médéric Renouf was keen to come back to the Autodistribution Group, and so returned to AD in 2001 as head of the Normandy – Paris – Ile-de-France region.

On the strength of this track record, in March he was appointed Manager of the AD garage network. Since taking up this position, Médéric Renouf has spent much of his time on the ground where he likes to drive the communication effort and set up information relays. His mission is to develop and build strong relationships with existing AD garages and the Group’s Key Accounts mechanical engineering partners. He is also in charge of national deployment of AD garages and mechanical engineering for Key Accounts.

A high profile teammate joins AD
The AD network of body shops, garage mechanics and Auto Service now boasts an exciting new partner. The TV presenter Thierry Roland has been chosen to promote the know-how and service offers for 1,600 AD mechanics, putting his reputation at the service of the AD Network.

AD is making a splash with a voice everyone knows. In caricature form, Thierry Roland will appear on all posters, streamers and point-of-sale advertising for the AD 2006 campaign. His legendary witty eloquence will carry the promotional campaign across the airwaves of RTL, Europe1, Sud Radio and 109 regional radios.

The choice of Thierry Roland, the creative visuals and the 1,494 radio commercials demonstrate the Autodistribution Group’s strong commitment to raising awareness of the AD Network, already the leader in independent car repairs. “The idea is to win hearts and minds, and with Thierry Roland, we have made the right choice,” says Philippe d’Hartoy, Autodistribution Marketing and Communication Manager. “We want to increase client traffic to AD garages and nowadays this means targeting drivers.”

The first promotion featuring Thierry Roland is a campaign about the Aurora Tyres range, one of the HANKOOK brands, for which Autodistribution is the sole distributor in France. Other promotions will take place during the year, with the high point being an air-conditioning promotion in May.

With Thierry Roland, Autodistribution has a powerful teammate to promote the AD Network and attract drivers to benefit from the best quality at the right price, just around the corner.

Truckissimo.com, developed by Autodistribution, the leading French and European distributor of car and truck spare parts, is already 4 years old!Four years of providing its multi-brand electronic catalogue to workshops and transport companies. The first of its kind, it has offered a wide range of parts for towing vehicles, straight trucks, light commercial or axle vehicles, and also provided a multitude of technical information, since 2003.

- The Truckissimo.com catalogue contains more than 150,000 products!
Updated in real time, the online Truckissimo.com catalogue lets you browse through almost 3,000 industrial vehicles from seven major manufacturers, DAF, IVECO, MAN, MERCEDES, RENAULT TRUCKS, SCANIA and VOLVO. The range, one of the widest available, also includes 753 types of axle from BPW, DISCOS, FRUEHAUF, ROR, SAE, SMB, SAF and TRAILOT, as well as 4,200 Light Commercial Vehicles.

- Eight spare parts categories to better meet the needs of workshops
From brakes, filtration, lights and clutches to electrics, steering, wiping and suspension… In total, there are no fewer than eight spare parts categories in the Truckissimo.com catalogue, covering the main components that AD truck repair shops work on. Eight categories made up of more than 100 suppliers, or approximately 110,000 parts makers products and 43,000 OE parts!

- Truck Infotech, a mine of multi-brand technical information
Truckissimo.com services include Truck Infotech, a technical database that makes reference to more than 75% of trucks on the road. With replacement manuals, inspection time indications, labour times and settings, it is a mine of information for professionals. Furthermore, the technical manuals, complete with illustrated procedures, make installing components easy. Gearboxes, suspension, shock absorbers and braking systems all become child’s play!

- Truckissimo.com, navigation created with users in mind
By make, model, version, category or even by parts makers or OE reference, with Truskissimo.com you can search however you want! Rather than just being a static tool, Truckissimo.com is evolving all the time, regularly offering its users new services. It has, for example, recently become easier to select parts, enhanced by two new categories (bearings and hubs), by the inclusion of detailed component diagrams as well as by pictures for Mercedes Axor and Actros vehicles. Finally, Truckissimo.com’s quotation service gives the online customer the opportunity to find out his personalised purchase price from his distributor. From early 2008, this continually evolving section will enable quotations to be created by type of operation.

With such a high quality of service, a competitive subscription fee (€104 ex-VAT per month) and over 100 workshops in France already on board, Truckissimo.com is an essential tool for all truck repair shops.

On 1 May all vehicles over 3.5 tonnes and/or carrying more than nine people must be fitted with a 1B digital tachograph. The AD Truck Network, with 115 workshops and 47 garages across France, has long been preparing to deliver concrete responses to its clients and help them manage this major change.

Digital tachographs are already part of the AD Truck Network

Last June, Autodistribution received network head approval from the DRIRE to “carry out periodic inspections and installations of digital tachographs among its members.” Less than a year later, more than 1,000 vehicles have been processed in the 85 AD Truck centres already authorised to install or calibrate 1B tachographs. With a high number of workshops already approved, the AD Truck Network, the leading multi-brand retailer for industrial vehicles in France, is leading the pack.

The AD Truck Network, a complete service for haulage contractors

With a view to applying regulation No. 3820/85, the AD Truck Network has developed global solutions to comply with new legal obligations for its clients, offering:

- data download tools
- software for processing and storing data
These are bundled in a tool + software pack costing less than €1,000 excl. sales tax.
- training courses for drivers, fleet managers and executives
- multi-brand consumables.

All these offers upgrade to secure data transmission, and the AD Truck Network will very soon offer an onboard electronic system for sending information over wi-fi, GPRS, etc.

Due to its nationwide network, its ability to look ahead, and its cutting-edge ideas, the AD Truck Network has become a vital partner for the road haulage community.

The AD Truck Network: the multi-brand and multiservices network for all towing vehicles and trailers

Autodistribution at a glance:
Autodistribution is a French group, member of a European network, active in cars, trucks and industrial supplies.

Autodistribution has two core businesses:
- purchase and distribution of car and truck parts (French leader) and industrial supplies
- management of a distribution network of subsidiaries and independent members with a network of light vehicle and truck repairs (the leading independent network in France for car repairs).
